Do you want to help improve and increase walking and bicycling in your community? The Michiana Area Council of Government (MACOG) is developing a regional Active Transportation Plan to make it easier for people to walk and bike in Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, and St. Joseph counties. The plan will help identify needs, resources, and strategies to improve and increase walking and bicycling in the region.
They would like to know about your walking and bicycling preferences and what you think the region should do to improve active transportation in your community. I completed their survey, and would encourage you to do so too. You can find the survey at https://goo.gl/FPNPUZ. Great things are happening in our region and it is our ideas that can make a difference.
If you would like to know more about the Active Transportation Plan, you can visit their website at www.macog.com/activetransportation.
